WOW!!! Can you believe it? It is 2018. Time seems to go by faster with each passing year. Life these days is very busy and can be overwhelming for many of us. Most of us do not know how to slow down. We find ourselves running in circles, chasing that perfect job, a higher degree, or more money. The interesting thing is that many times when we reach these goals we still are not satisfied. Instead we begin to look for the next thing to chase. We keep adding more and more onto our already full plates. In the end we find ourselves both physically and mentally exhausted!
Make 2018 different!
Find small ways each week to bring calm into your life. There are many ways to help center yourself and bring a sense of peace into your daily life. Here a just a few suggestions.
Try Meditation. There are wonderful meditation apps that you can download on your phone for free. I challenge you to take a moment to download one and start small. Don't know where to start? I love
They have a free and a paid version and it includes background sounds as well as offer many types of meditations depending on what specific goals you have set.
If you find it difficult or overwhelming to do a 20 minute mediation then start off small and just do a 2 minute meditation 2 or 3 times a week until you can add more time.
If you love books buy a book and read for a few minutes each week.
Maybe you would like a soaking bath, or a simple Epson Salt foot soak.
Call a friend everyday at the same time so you both can catch up and slow down together.
The possibilities are endless. The most important thing is to find what relaxes you and make yourself a priority.
You will find that when you take even a small amount of time to let your body rest that you will begin feel more energized, and positive but be sure not to add more to your plate with your new found energy!
